5 On Friday – Lazy Shuffle

5 IPods

The 5 On Friday meme was invented by our friend Travis of Trav’s Thoughts. To join in, simply select five songs, visit his website, and share your choices for the week.

This week, I’m being as lazy as can be with the IPOD shuffle – Just press the arrow and see what pops up. It turned out to be quite an eclectic group.

From On A Clear Day You Can See Forever – Yves Montand as the psychiatrist in love with a former reincarnation of his patient – There’s No Melinda

Wearing a great deal less than the Melinda of the 1800’s, Cher still sings about behaving like an outlaw of the same era – Just Like Jesse James.

Tennessee Ernie Ford wanders away with the Cry of the Wild Goose

While we are out west, might as well go gold mining with Fleetwood Mac and Gold Dust Woman

Closing off with a man who loved music, possibly a little too much – Harry Chapin singing about Mr. Tanner

  1. Travis says:

I love a good random Set, and this is a good random Set. The thing I have always liked about Cher’s music is that she can’t be genre pigeon holed. Her sound is often a mix of pop and rock with some country mixed in.

  2. I’m very late making the rounds, as it was Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I was busy with visiting family. Most definitely a random set, but it has Jamie all over it!
